According to sources, the Pakistani delegation, which was ready to return home from Istanbul, will now stay longer. Pakistan has agreed to resume talks with Afghan Taliban at hosts’ request.

Regarding Pak-Afghan talks, sources say that it has been decided to give peace another chance by resuming the talks, however, this time too the talks will be based on Pakistan’s central demand that Afghanistan take clear, verifiable and effective action against terrorists.
Sources said that Pakistan has once again stressed that Afghan soil should not be used for terrorism against Pakistan.

It should be remembered that the previous talks between the parties in Istanbul failed. In this regard, Information and Broadcasting Minister Attaullah Tarar had said in his statement that the only agenda of the talks was to prevent terrorism against Pakistan from Afghan soil, but the Afghan side, despite accepting logical and legitimate demands, avoided making any actionable assurances.
According to Atta Tarar, Pakistan has repeatedly protested to the Afghan Taliban government against the cross-border operations of the Indian-backed terrorist organizations Fitna-ul-Kharij (TTP) and Fitna-ul-Hind (BLA) and demanded the implementation of the written promises of the Doha Agreement.

He said that Pakistan also presented concrete and undeniable evidence against the terrorists in the talks, which was accepted by the host countries and the Afghan delegation, but no practical assurances were given.
The Information Minister, while explaining the reasons for the failure of the Istanbul talks, said that the Afghan Taliban delegation deviated from the main agenda of the talks, resorted to accusations, evasion and cunning excuses and avoided accepting responsibility.
Meanwhile, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said in his statement that if the Taliban government violates our borders, we will also attack, and if we have to respond to the violation inside Afghanistan, we will.

Talking to the media at the Parliament House the other day, he said that the Pak-Afghan Istanbul talks were concluded yesterday evening, it became clear to the mediators what Kabul’s intentions are, the lack of enthusiasm in Kabul’s intentions has become apparent to everyone, now there is no cure, only prayers can be offered.
Earlier, Khawaja Asif had said in his statement that if necessary, they can defeat the Taliban regime and set an example for the world.
