Khyber Pakhtunkhwa scholars have paid tribute to Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir, praising him for his knowledge and understanding of the Quran.
Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir held a special session with students from universities across Pakistan, in which he gave a reasoned discussion in the light of the Quran and Hadith. Later, the scholars praised the Army Chief’s knowledge and understanding, supported his arguments and said that we stand by him.
Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam leader Maulvi Ahmed Shah said that the Army Chief’s statement gave him great satisfaction and we stand by him. Mufti Hakeem Ali said that the reference to the Quranic verse regarding the Khawarij is absolutely correct.
Similarly, Maulana Shah Nawaz said that all religiously minded people stand by the Pakistan Army and our military leader. General Asim Munir is not only a Hafiz of the Quran but also a talented human being.
Qari Afsar Khan, a member of the General Council of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, said that General Syed Asim Munir’s stance on Khawarij is a matter of pride, we stand by our commander-in-chief and the Pakistan Army. Deputy Chief Mufti of Jamia Arabia Meraj-ul-Quran Bannu, Dr. Muhammad Zainul-Abidin, said that the security forces are sacrificing their lives every day, the younger generation should also fully support the Pakistan Army.
Leader JUI Muhammad Israr Qureshi said that he agrees with General Asim Munir’s words, all those who spread mischief on earth are cursed by Allah and His Messenger. Muhammad Wajid Farooqi of Dera Ismail Khan said that he supports the Army Chief that strict action should be taken against those who want to spread mischief on the soil of Pakistan.
Hafiz Muhammad Saeed said that he pays tribute to the Army Chief for his address to the students. Maulana Shoaib Shah said that we completely agree with the statement made by General Syed Asim Munir in the meeting with the students.
Mufti Muhammad Hanif said that he fully supports General Asim Munir’s stance and rejects terrorism and rebellion against the country.
