ISLAMABAD: A letter has been written to the Interior Minister to file a case on the interference of important personalities in the grid stations in Pakhtunkhwa.
Federal Energy Minister Owais Laghari has written a letter to Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, in which he has sought help on the incidents that happened at grid stations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The letter states that responsible key figures in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are leading protests in the premises of grid stations. Due to power outage, such incidents are happening in Mardan, Charsadda, Tank, Bannu and Peshawar, while the members of the provincial assembly are giving illegal orders to the staff at Meyersgard stations to restore power.
According to the letter, the police is also avoiding registering an FIR against those responsible. Similarly, people are being encouraged to take law into their hands in other districts as well. All law enforcement agencies should be directed to guard grid stations in KPK and security agencies should be ordered to prevent unauthorized persons from entering grid stations.
In his letter, the federal minister said that the police should be ordered to register an FIR against those who restore electricity illegally and also prevent unauthorized persons from entering the grid stations. The letter said that cases should be registered by the Pesco authority against the named persons for forcible entry into the grid stations.
