MUMBAI: Indian business tycoon Ratan Tata achieved success in various business ventures but there was one area where he faced failure, and that was the Bollywood film industry.
According to Indian media reports, world-renowned industrialist Ratan Tata tried to make his foray into Bollywood in 2004 as a co-producer of Amitabh Bachchan’s film ‘Asbara’.
The film was directed by Vikram Bhatt, while the star cast included big names like Amitabh Bachchan, John Abraham, and Bipasha Basu, but the film was a failure at the box office.
Ratan Tata produced the film under his banner Tata BSS, but after the failure of the film, he never looked back at the film industry and said goodbye to Bollywood forever.
