Lahore: In a meeting with PML-N President Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, members of the Provincial Assembly from South Punjab complained about the negative attitude of local bureaucrats while praising the performance of the Punjab Chief Minister.
Yesterday, Nawaz Sharif, along with Maryam Nawaz, held two separate meetings with members of the Provincial Assembly from Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Muzaffargarh, Layyah, Rajanpur and DG Khan, the aim of which was to give the young members an opportunity to inform the party president about their concerns and complaints, but they did nothing except appreciate the performance of the Punjab government.
According to sources, the meeting began with the party president’s address, in which he spoke openly about the political challenges facing the party and the current situation, after which the MPAs were given the opportunity to speak.
All the MPAs praised Maryam Nawaz and told Nawaz Sharif that the government’s initiatives were being well received in their constituencies. When contacted, a member of the provincial assembly said that when the government appoints an officer, he is accountable for his performance.
Another MPA said that after Nawaz Sharif, the MPAs met provincial president Rana Sanaullah in which they piled up complaints against district officers.
Rana Sanaullah assured them that he would inform the Chief Minister about their concerns. Nawaz Sharif said that the economic situation is improving, the confidence of the business community has been restored with the reduction in interest rates, inflation has come down, and further reduction will provide more relief to the people.
International financial institutions are acknowledging the hard work and dedication of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Time has proven that the opponents have nothing but hatred, envy, abuse, arrogance and indecency. The PML-N has an excellent record of serving the country and the nation in the political, defense and development sectors. If the continuity of development had not been broken, the country would have come a long way in the region and the world, and the people would not be facing suffering.
