Peshawar: Information Advisor to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government Barrister Saif has said that the jirga to resolve the Kurram dispute continued till late night, in which a general consensus has been reached between the two parties, however, one party has sought a two-day break for consultation only on a few points.

Barrister Dr. Saif said that the Ahle Sunnat has sought two days of time for consultation with its elders and the public, the jirga has given two days of time after mutual consultation, the jirga will resume on Tuesday after a two-day break.
He said that the jirga has reached a consensus on all major points, and the agreement will be signed after the consultation is completed.
He said that the elimination of bunkers and weapons will be ensured as per the decision of the Apex Committee.
According to the Information Advisor, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is committed to a permanent and sustainable solution to the more than a century-old conflict. The conflict is close to being resolved with the efforts of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and the Grand Jirga.
Barrister Dr. Saif said that the entire administration, including Commissioner Kohat, is sincerely making efforts to end the conflict and achieve lasting peace. The Chief Minister has dedicated his helicopter for relief operations, and air services are also being provided to the public, including the delivery of medicines.
