The Lahore High Court dismissed the objection to the application filed against the Practice and Procedure Ordinance and ordered it to be fixed for hearing.
Justice Faisal Zaman Khan of the Lahore High Court declared the objection of the Registrar Office against the Practice and Procedure Ordinance invalid and ordered to schedule the application for hearing.
The court expressed indignation at the officers of the registrar’s office for raising unnecessary objections and inquired, “Why did you raise this objection?” If the federal government has issued an ordinance, it can be challenged anywhere.
Justice Faisal Zaman Khan remarked that the Registrar’s Office should refrain from imposing unnecessary objections in the future.
It should be noted that the registrar’s office had objected to the request of citizen Munir Ahmed that this request can be filed in the Islamabad High Court and not in the Lahore High Court.
