An Islamabad court has rejected three pre-arrest bail applications of Bushra Bibi, wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan.
Additional Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majuka heard three bail applications of Bushra Bibi regarding the protest on November 26. During the hearing, Prosecutor Iqbal Kakar and lawyer Khalid Yousuf Chaudhry appeared in the court. Bushra Bibi’s lawyer Khalid Yousuf Chaudhry filed an exemption application.
Prosecutor Iqbal Kakar took the stand that she had not submitted her bail bonds. The judge remarked that she had not submitted her bail bonds yet. She was not implementing the court’s order. Lawyer Khalid Yousuf Chaudhry replied that the decision of the 90 million pound reference is today and Bushra Bibi has to go to Adiala Jail.
Judge Muhammad Afzal Majuka ordered the dismissal of Bushra Bibi’s bail application. The court had granted Bushra Bibi interim bail till date. The cases were registered against Bushra Bibi in the wake of the November 26 protests.
