ISLAMABAD: After the approval of ECC, OGRA has issued notification of new gas prices.
It has been decided to maintain gas prices for domestic consumers in the current financial year, the relief of 10% reduction in gas prices has not been passed on to consumers.
According to the notification, the gas rates for captive power plants have been increased from July 1. For CPPs, the rate has been increased by Rs 250 per MBTU. The current price for CPPs has been increased from Rs 2750 to Rs 3 thousand per mmbtu.
According to the sources, the decision to reduce the prices for domestic consumers by 10% was made by Ogra to the government.
