The Islamabad High Court has issued a notice to the Superintendent of Adiala Jail on a contempt of court plea for not meeting PTI founder Imran Khan.
During the hearing of the case in front of Justice Sardar Ejaz Ishaq Khan, Salman Akram Raja and Faisal Chaudhary took a stand that Imran Khan is not even allowed to meet the lawyers.
The court inquired whether the local commission had been contacted. On which the lawyer said that yes, we have been reporting to the local commission and they have also been doing it, but we have not been contacted yet.
The justice remarked that the purpose of forming the commission was to prevent problems, the lawyer said that there has been no electricity for many days, even going out in the corridor, on which the court directed to file a separate application.
Later, the court issued a notice to the jail superintendent and directed him to appoint a representative and ordered that the representative appear before the court tomorrow.
