CALIFORNIA: A new forest fire has broken out near Castaic Lake north of Los Angeles, California, USA, resulting in a state of emergency in the area.
According to the news agency, the flames are spreading rapidly and have reached the mountains, due to which about 25 thousand people have been ordered to evacuate.
In addition, 500 prisoners have been transferred to other prisons to avoid any unexpected situation.
The main reason for the increase in the intensity of the fire is also strong winds, due to which 5 thousand acres of land have been engulfed in flames in just two hours.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department and the Angeles National Forest are trying to extinguish the fire. In addition, helicopters and small aircraft are also participating in operations to control the fire.
It should be noted that the fire that broke out on January 7 has not yet been fully controlled, the fire had burned about 40,000 acres of land and as a result at least 27 people have lost their lives. Even now, firefighters are facing serious difficulties in controlling the fire.
