Karachi: After Gaddafi, the National Stadium Karachi is also fully ready to host the Champions Trophy. Thanks to the personal monitoring of Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi and the day-and-night hard work of the workers, the project was completed in 120 days.
The National Stadium Karachi will be inaugurated tomorrow evening where a colorful opening ceremony will be held. Renowned singers Ali Zafar, Shafqat Amanat Ali and Sahir Ali Bagga will perform the magic of their voices. There will be a spectacular display of fireworks and light shows, while the public will have free entry.
Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi said that the construction work of the National Stadium began on September 28 and, thank God, the construction work was completed on January 31. The pavilion building was completely demolished and rebuilt, while new chairs have been installed in each enclosure.
Mohsin Naqvi said that new LED lights, modern score screens and grills were installed while the fences were removed for a better view of the cricket fans. All the hospitality boxes were renovated, a new ring road and a pedestrian bridge were constructed.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said that he appreciates the hard work of the workers who participated in the construction of the National Stadium Karachi. The entire team of FWO, NESPAK, contractors and PCB worked tirelessly.
Mohsin Naqvi said that world-class facilities have been added for cricket fans and players, and the best facilities will be provided to the players of the Champions Trophy teams.
