Indian cinema once again proved its immense popularity in 2024, where several films impressed the audience and set new records.
Google’s annual ‘Year in Search’ report released a list of the most searched Indian films of 2024, in which ‘Stree 2’, ‘Salar’ and ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ took the top positions.
Shraddha Kapoor’s popular horror comedy film ‘Stree 2’ was declared the most searched Indian film. The film’s interesting story and brilliant performances impressed the fans, continuing the success of its prequel.
This year was special for Prabhas, where two of his films found a prominent place in this Google list.
‘Kalki 2898 AD’, which also features Deepika Padukone, came in second position. The sci-fi film’s stunning visuals and intriguing story impressed the audience. ‘Salar: Part 1 – Ceasefire’ was at the ninth position, with its action-packed action and captivating story making it a box office hit.
Vikrant Massey’s emotional film ’12th Fail’ was at the third position. The film tells the story of a young man’s academic struggles and struggles, which touched the hearts of the audience.
‘Missing Ladies’, India’s Oscar entry, was at the fourth position. Teja Saja’s superhero film ‘Hanu Man’ and Vijay Sethupathi’s film ‘Maharaja’ were at the fifth and sixth positions.
Malayalam thriller ‘Manjumal Boys’ was at the seventh position, while Thalapathy Vijay’s action film ‘The Greatest of All Time’ was at the eighth position and Fahadh Fazal’s film ‘Avisham’ was at the tenth position.
