Tel Aviv airport was temporarily closed after a ballistic missile attack on Israel from Yemen.
According to Arab media, missiles were fired from Yemen at Tel Aviv and central Israel. Sirens sounded in various parts of Israel after the missile attacks. Tel Aviv airport was also temporarily closed.
A statement issued by the Israeli military said that a drone coming from Yemen over the Mediterranean Sea was shot down. The drone was destroyed before the missile-equipped boat reached the Israeli fleet.
Since the unprecedented attack by Hamas on October 7, 2023, the Houthi group “Ansar Allah” has been attacking Israel with drones and missiles. The Houthis have threatened to target Israeli ships in the Red Sea.
