The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) summoned Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman yesterday for not holding intra-party elections.
A 4-member commission headed by Nisar Durrani will hear the case on behalf of the Election Commission. The position of the commission has been adopted that Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) has not yet completed the intra-party elections and has not submitted the certificates to the Election Commission. .
The Election Commission has issued a notice to Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) and has summoned Maulana Fazlur Rehman at 10 am tomorrow.
It should be noted that the Election Commission had withdrawn the election symbol of the bat while declaring the intra-party election of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf null and void.
In this judgment, it was stated that Tehreek-e-Insaf did not follow the instructions given in the judgment given on November 23, 2023 and failed to conduct intra-party elections as per PTI Constitution 2019, Election Act 2017 and Election Rules 2017. stay
Later, the Supreme Court also deprived the PTI of the symbol of bat for not conducting intra-party elections, due to which the candidates of the party participated in the election as an independent.
