The government of Pakistan has decided to celebrate the mourning day across the country today as a sign of solidarity with the Palestinians and to condemn the ongoing Israeli brutality in Gaza.
The day of mourning in Pakistan was decided in a consultative meeting of the government and allied parties under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. Absent funeral prayers of Ismail Haniya Shaheed will be offered after Friday prayers across the country.
In this regard, the Prime Minister said in one of his statements that Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu is openly committing atrocities. International laws were trampled under foot by martyring Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran.
Shahbaz Sharif said that bloodshed is being played in Palestine for 9 months, more than 40 thousand Palestinians have been martyred. Hospitals have been completely destroyed. Cities and neighborhoods in Palestine have been razed to the ground.
A special resolution will also be presented in the National Assembly today to express solidarity with the Palestinians.
