A new study tells us that couples who diet together lose more weight and faster than those who diet alone.
This study was conducted by a team of experts from Bournemouth University, in which researchers said that weight loss advice may be more effective for married couples because both partners eat the same diet.
In their report, the researchers said that lifestyle changes are aimed at reducing weight in people who are overweight, while many couples are at risk of obesity together.
Experts added that our results suggest that weight loss diet advice is more targeted at couples.
The results also showed that couples who started together to give up unhealthy eating habits lost an average of 2.25 kg more weight.
The report, published in the journal Nutrition and Health, found that couples who managed their calories together and in the same way lost significantly more weight than those who tried to follow a healthy lifestyle alone.
