By the grace of Almighty Allah, Mari Energies Limited is pleased to announce an Oil & Gas
discovery resulting from its exploratory efforts at Mari Ghazij CF-B1 Well, drilled into Mari D&PL,located in Sindh Province.
Mari Energies is the Operator of Mari Development & Production Lease (Mari D&PL) with 100% working interest.
Mari Ghazij CF-B1 well was spud-in on September 12, 2025 and successfully drilled down to the total depth of 1,195 meters into SUL formation. Mari Ghazij CF-B1 was an exploratory well targeting the oil prone zones within Ghazij formation.
During the testing, well produced 305 barrels per day of oil along with 3 MMSCFD gas with WHFP of 225 Psi at 48/64 inch choke size.This is the 2nd such oil pool discovered in the Mari Ghazij collapsed features identifiable on seismic.
Mr. Faheem Haider, MD/CEO Mari Energies has termed this discovery a great success for the company’s geo-scientists and said that the company plans to drill additional similar features within the lease area in parallel to put the current discovery on production.
He further added that Mari Energies’ aim is to support government efforts for indigenization
through a combination of production optimization from existing fields and fast-tracking production from newly discovered resources.
Mari Energies Limited is an integrated exploration and production company, currently operatingPakistan’s largest gas reservoir in the Mari lease area, Daharki, Sindh.The company contributes around 30% towards national gas production and largest gas producer in the country.
