CALIFORNIA: The first foreign aid including firefighters to extinguish the worst fire in US history has arrived in California.
According to the World News Agency, Mexico has sent a team of firefighters to California to help combat the wildfires in Los Angeles.
Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum wrote on X that the aid group is leaving for Los Angeles, California, with firefighters carrying Mexican and California flags and standing on the runway in front of two planes.
She added that our country is a country of solidarity.
California Governor Gavin Newsom thanked Mexico in a message posted on X after the announcement of the deployment.
He wrote that California is deeply grateful for President Sheinbaum’s support in working to extinguish the wildfires in Los Angeles.
