Rawalpindi: Lieutenant General Muhammad Asim Malik has been appointed as the new DGISI.
According to ISPR, Lt Gen Asim Malik will assume his new charge on September 30, he is currently serving as Adjutant General at GHQ.
Lieutenant General Asim has previously commanded the Infantry Division in Balochistan and the Infantry Brigade in Waziristan. are
Lt Gen Asim is also a graduate of Fort Leavenworth and the Royal College of Defense Studies, having previously served in the Directorate of Military Operations.
It should be noted that Lieutenant General Nadeem Anjum is currently performing the duties of DGISI.
