Outside the Jamaat-e-Islami center Mansoora in Lahore, the police surrounded the women’s convoy, on which the women staged a dharna on Multan Road.
The sit-in continues on Multan Road Lahore after the women’s convoy was stopped by the police. The women of Jamaat-e-Islami were stopped by the police from going to Rawalpindi.
The Punjab Police forcibly removed the women from the buses and took the buses to Chohang police station and closed them. Leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami circle women say that protest is our democratic right.
Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami West Circle Lahore Abdul Aziz Abid said that the Punjab government mistreated women, the Punjab government has become a police state.
Liaquat Baloch condemned the mistreatment of women by the Jamaat-e-Islami constituency and said that the Punjab government should come to its senses, Punjab has become a police state.
