LAHORE: The Anti-Terrorism Court of Lahore reserved its decision on the pre-arrest bails of 29 accused in the Jinnah House attack and arson case.
Judge Khalid Arshad, while hearing the case, reserved the decision on pre-arrest bails.
Ali Imtiaz, Naeem Abbas, Ashraf Khan, Muhammad Javed, Imtiaz Mahmood, Ali Asghar, Naheed Malik, Hammad Ali, Muhammad Aslam, Humira Bibi, Zul Qarnain, Abdul Wahab, Habib-ur-Rehman, Usman Qadri, Hasnain Ali, Ishtiaq Khan, Usman Farooq. , Wali Khan, Urooj Fatima, Shahroz, Zohaib Jabbar and Bilal Haseeb, among others, reserved the decision on bail.
The court has ordered to extend the interim bails of 25 accused including Zain Qureshi, Asad Umar, Farhat Abbas, Aleema Khan, Uzma Khan till September 3.
During the hearing, the court spoke to the investigating officer and said, “What evidence do you have against the accused?” Why should you be accused to conduct an inclusive investigation, what evidence do you have, talk about the law.
The court while talking to the investigating officer said that what evidence will you give to cancel the bail, after the bail of the accused is released, if you have to come to me for the remand of the accused then tell me what is the evidence. The investigating officer asked that we should be given more time, to which the court said that you will not get time now.
Lawyer Babar Awan argued on behalf of Umar Ayub and said that I am appearing before you for the fourth time today, I think I am asking for a loan, I think you have written that asking for a loan is prohibited.
Aleema Khan said in the court that we have 200 people appear here in Islamabad and other cities, you also know that the investigating officer does not want to appear, the investigating officer is not appearing, there should be some punishment for him.
Judge Khalid Arshad remarked that yesterday I have said that it is not appropriate, I asked the investigating officer to write down that you do not have evidence, if the investigating officer does not have evidence, there will be no arrest. .
According to the court, these accused have not been named in the FIR and supplementary documents. It should be noted that the Jinnah House attack case against the accused is registered in Sarwar Road police station.
