Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Advisor Barrister Saif has said that the parties on the Kurram dispute are in agreement on most points, an agreement is likely today.
In his statement, the provincial advisor said that the Grand Jirga in Kohat will resume today after a 2-day break. The Jirga had given one party 2 days for consultation. There is a strong possibility of an agreement between the two parties today.
He said that both parties agree on almost all points. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is working for a sustainable and lasting solution to the dispute. With the efforts of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, the more than a century-old dispute is close to a sustainable solution.
Barrister Saif said that complete peace will be established in the area with the elimination of bunkers and weapons. According to the decision of the Apex Committee, the area will be cleared of weapons. After the agreement, there will also be good news regarding the opening of the road.
