Lahore:The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), in collaboration with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and its implementing partner Hayat Foundation, successfully distributed 180 tons of dates among flood-affected families across eight districts of Punjab, Pakistan.
This initiative aimed to support vulnerable families affected by recent floods by providing them with nutritious food assistance. Dates, being rich in essential nutrients, serve as an excellent source of energy and help improve food security among disaster-affected communities.
Under this project, distributions were carried out in eight districts of Punjab Multan, Muzaffargarh, Jhang, Kot Addu, Hafizabad, Rajanpur, Khanewal, and Faisalabad benefiting thousands of families who were severely impacted by floods and displacement.
The project reflects the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s unwavering commitment, through KSrelief, to stand with the people of Pakistan in times of hardship and to promote food security, humanitarian relief, and dignity among affected populations.
