Indian star cricketer Virat Kohli has a historic chance to break his compatriot and legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar’s 19-year-old record.
In the 3-match ODI series against England, Virat Kohli is close to breaking the record of 14,000 runs of Sachin Tendulkar, who has the status of God in India, which he set 19 years ago.
In February 2006, the legendary Sachin Tendulkar crossed the 14,000-run milestone in his 350th ODI innings during a match against Pakistan in Peshawar, but India had to face defeat in this match.
Kohli, currently, has scored 13,906 runs in 283 ODI innings with 50 centuries and 72 half-centuries at an average of 58.18 and a strike rate of 93.54.
Fastest to 14,000 runs in ODIs
Sachin Tendulkar – 350 innings (Peshawar vs Pakistan, February 2006)
Kumar Sangakkara – 378 innings (Sydney vs Australia, March 2015)
On the other hand, India’s star batsman Virat Kohli has been in poor form, having failed miserably in Sri Lanka and the tour of Australia, and his return to domestic cricket has also proved to be a nightmare.
The ODI series between India and England will begin on February 6 in Nagpur, while the next two matches are scheduled for February 9 and 12, after which both teams will head to Dubai and Pakistan to participate in the Champions Trophy.
