The Agriculture Department has said that in the initial phase, free seeds will be provided to farmers in 7 districts of the province. This facility will be provided to farmers of Peshawar, Swat, Dir, Nowshera, DI Khan, Mardan, Charsadda and Peshawar.
Seeds of wheat, rice, maize and other commodities will be distributed free of cost to farmers. Seeds will be provided to farmers according to the temperature and environment of the districts. In the initial phase, 453,000 farmers of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will benefit from this.
Agriculture Minister Sajjad Barakwal said that free seeds will also be provided to farmers in flood-affected districts. Farmers in the area where the seeds can be produced will be given the same seeds.
The Agriculture Minister said that in the next phase, free seeds will be provided to farmers of all districts soon. Efforts are being made to provide support to farmers. He said that free fertilizer will also be provided to farmers of the province.
