Five security personnel, including an officer, were injured in a landmine explosion in Mir Ali area of North Waziristan tribal district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Security forces also killed 4 alleged terrorists, including a commander, in separate operations.
According to security officials, the explosion took place during a clearance operation in Mohammad Kalay area of Mir Ali.
Sources said that 5 security personnel, including a captain, were injured in the attack.
The injured were shifted to the hospital where their condition is said to be stable.
The army’s media wing did not issue any statement regarding the incident.
Sources said that after the explosion, security forces killed 3 terrorists in a follow-up operation.
Earlier on Thursday, 4 security personnel, including a major, were martyred and 13 terrorists were killed in two separate encounters in North Waziristan.
