ISLAMABAD: Justice Sardar Tariq Masood and Justice Mazhar Alam Mian Khel took oath as ad hoc judges.
The swearing-in ceremony of ad-hoc judges was held at the Supreme Court. Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa administered oath to ad hoc judges. Justice Mansoor Ali Shah and other judges, Attorney General Mansoor Usman Awan, law officers, lawyers and judicial staff participated in the swearing-in ceremony.
Both the judges have been appointed as ad hoc judges of the Supreme Court for a period of one year. President Asif Ali Zardari approved the appointment. The notification of the appointment has been issued by the Ministry of Law. Justice (retd) Mazhar Alam Mian Khel had earlier resigned from becoming an ad hoc judge.
The Judicial Commission had recommended the appointment of Justice (retd) Sardar Tariq Masood and Justice (retd) Mazhar Alam Mian Khel as ad hoc judges for one year.
