Islamabad: The anti-terrorism court in Islamabad has confirmed the bail of Ali Nawaz Awan, Shibli Faraz, Umar Ayub, Umar Sultan and Colonel (Rtd) Asim in the judicial complex attack and vandalism case.
Judge Tahir Abbas Supra of the Anti-Terrorism Court heard the cases. PTI lawyer Babar Awan and other lawyers appeared before the court while Umar Ayub, Shibli Faraz, Amjad Niazi, Ali Nawaz Awan and other PTI workers also appeared before the court.
Lawyer Babar Awan said that some of the accused could not appear today, it is requested that they come and decide on their bail applications.
Judge Tahir Abbas supra asked that Ali Amin Gandapur did not appear, has there been any information regarding him whether he will appear or not. PTI lawyers replied that we will confirm and inform the court.
Lawyer Babar Awan said that Umar Ayub has to appear before a JIT in Lahore.
Judge Tahir Abbas Supra remarked that all the accused are standing on the same stage, if the bail application is dismissed, they will be dismissed together, all the applications will be decided together.
Lawyer Babar Awan said that according to section 497, when the accused surrenders before the court, the right to bail is obtained, along with this status, the bail application of founder PTI and Asad Umar was also approved by the same court.
Justice Tahir Abbas supra inquired whether there is any decision in which bail pleas cannot be heard again after being declared ad hoc, the court is hearing bail pleas again even after your withdrawal of bail pleas.
Ali Amin Gandapur’s lawyer Raja Zahoor appeared before the court and filed a plea for exemption from the presence of Chief Minister KP. Raja Zahoor Advocate said that Ali Amin has gone to Gandapur Karam city, the situation there is bad.
Justice Tahir Abbas Supra directed the PTI lawyers to provide the court judgments referred to. The court adjourned the hearing till September 4 due to the absence of Ali Amin Gandapur.
