Islamabad: Four laws including Trade Arrangements Amendment Bill were passed in the joint session of Parliament, PTI members entered the house with placards and protested vigorously.
The joint session of Parliament began an hour after the scheduled time under the chairmanship of Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.
Chairman Senate Yousaf Raza Gilani, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Mian Nawaz Sharif, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, Raja Pervez Ashraf, Sherry Rehman and others reached the house.
Members of the PTI Sunni Ittehad Council also reached the house.
A total of 8 laws are to be passed by the House, including the Trade Regulations Amendment Bill 2021, the National Institute of Technology Bill 2023, the National Excellence Institute Bill 2024, the National Commission for Human Development Amendment Bill 2023, the Import and Export Regulation Amendment Bill 2023, the National Skills University Islamabad Amendment Bill 2023, the NFC Institute of Engineering and Technology Multan Amendment Bill 2023 and the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology Islamabad Amendment Bill 2023.
