Beirut: 5 people were killed and 20 people were injured in airstrikes by Israeli warplanes in Lebanon last night.
The attack came 24 hours after Israel carried out similar attacks inside eastern Lebanon, which has heightened tensions after Israel killed a top Hezbollah commander.
In the latest data released by the Ministry of Health of Lebanon, it is said that one person was killed and 20 injured in the attacks of the Israeli enemy on the Bekaa Valley.
The statement said that the condition of one person is critical while eight children and a pregnant woman are slightly injured.
A Hezbollah source said on condition of anonymity that several attacks were carried out near the town of Baalbek in eastern Lebanon, including the village of Nabishet.
A local hospital source told a foreign news agency that the injured included five children over the age of 10 who belong to the same family.
