Israeli forces intensify operations in Gaza ahead of ceasefire

The Israeli forces occupying the West Bank intensified their operations a few hours before the implementation of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, when Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu ordered the Israeli army not to declare a ceasefire in Gaza until Hamas releases the names of the hostages.

The Qatari broadcaster Al Jazeera Arabic reported in its latest updates that Israeli forces have intensified raids in cities and towns in the occupied West Bank.

Sources told Al Jazeera Arabic that in Nablus, Israeli forces raided several areas, including the Grand Mosque in the Sharfi Market.

Israeli forces conducted raids in various areas and fired shots during the raids, but there were no reports of any arrests or injuries.

According to the report, Israeli forces also established new military posts in the Tamun area.

In another update, Al Jazeera Arabic reported that the Israeli army launched attacks on central and southern Gaza, with four raids carried out in the northern and western areas of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.

According to the report, Palestinian media also reported an Israeli airstrike on the central city of Deir al-Balah, as well as a warehouse in the southern town of Abasan, near the city of Khan Yunis. There were no immediate reports of casualties.

On the other hand, a foreign news agency reported some time ago that Israeli forces had begun withdrawing from the Rafah areas.

According to a Reuters report, Israeli forces have begun withdrawing from the Rafah areas towards the Philadelphia Corridor, located along the Egypt-Gaza border.

According to a Reuters report, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has ordered the Israeli army not to declare a ceasefire in Gaza until Hamas releases the names of the hostages.

The Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement that the Prime Minister has instructed the IDF that the ceasefire, which is scheduled to take effect at 8:30 a.m. local time, will not take effect until Israel receives the list of those released that Hamas has promised to provide.

On the other hand, Hamas reacted to the issue and said that the delay in the list of hostages was due to technical problems.

According to Israeli media, Hamas has not yet released the list of three Israeli female hostages, the deadline for the ceasefire in Gaza has passed.

It should be remembered that after 15 months of Israeli aggression, the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas will take effect today, which has raised hopes of stopping the genocide of Palestinians in Gaza.

After the Israeli cabinet ratified the ceasefire agreement, Gaza confirmed that the agreement will be fully implemented.

The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office said that the government had also approved the plan to return the hostages, confirming that Israel, thanks to its firm stance, has come close to stopping the genocide of Palestinians seeking peace.

In his first speech after the ceasefire agreement, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that we have changed the face of the Middle East. Our sisters and brothers are returning to their homes, and the majority of them are alive, all this has been possible thanks to Israel’s firm stance.

Netanyahu reiterated that the ceasefire agreement will not be implemented until the full list of hostages is handed over to Israel.

The Israeli Prime Minister added that the agreement will not move forward until Israel receives the list of 33 hostages. He said that Israel reserves the right to resume fighting if necessary.

This ceasefire agreement is a significant effort to end months of bloodshed in Palestine, which could open up new possibilities for peace not only for Israel but also for the Middle East.
