BEIRUT: The Israeli military says its air force has struck a building in Lebanon, killing senior Hezbollah commander Fawad Shukar.
The British news agency has reported that a residential building was damaged in the attack in the southern suburbs of Lebanon, Dahiya. It is not yet clear what the casualties were as a result of the attack.
News agencies are quoting sources saying that Fawad Shukar was targeted in the airstrike but he survived, while the Israel Defense Forces say that Fawad Shukar was killed in the attack.
The Israeli military says the same commander was behind Saturday’s rocket attack on the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. In which 12 children and youths were killed, while Hezbollah denied involvement in this attack.
