Israel attacks Qatar; Hamas leaders targetedAll leaders safe in Israeli attack, Hamas

DOHA –Black smoke billows and chaos erupt in Qatar’s capital Doha after powerful explosions.According to the International News Agency, the explosions took place in areas of Qatar where Hamas’s office and leaders are allegedly located.

Initial information is being collected, but it is believed that this was an Israeli attack in which an attempt was made to target Hamas leaders.Meanwhile, an unknown Arab media outlet claimed that Hamas leader Khalil al-Haya, who was leading the Hamas team in the Gaza talks, was martyred in the Israeli attack.

Hamas sources said that Israel attacked the meeting in which the top leadership was participating and Gaza was reviewing the US proposal for a ceasefire.Read more: Six people, including Khalil al-Haya’s son, were martyred in the Israeli attack; Hamas confirms

Hamas sources claimed that the Israeli attack failed and all our leaders are safe.Reuters has released a photo of Doha showing smoke rising into the sky.The blasts were aimed at officials who could be part of an assassination attempt.

Reports published on the Swedish website Omni also suggested that the explosions could be an attempt to attack Hamas leadership.

A recent article in Roya News reported that the explosions were aimed at Hamas headquarters in the Katara district of the Qatari capital, and that the attack was suspected to have been carried out by Israeli authorities.

Qatar has strongly condemned Israel’s attack, calling it a violation of national security, and has lodged a strong diplomatic protest.

On the other hand, Israel has confirmed that its army targeted Hamas leadership in the Qatari capital.

However, neither Israel nor Qatar have issued any statement regarding the number of deaths or injuries in the attack.

On the other hand, Hamas spokesman Suhail al-Hindi confirmed that Israel targeted the building where the top leadership was consulting on the US proposal for a Gaza ceasefire.

Suhail al-Hindi added that the entire Hamas leadership was safe in the attack, but 6 people, including Hammam al-Hayya, the son of al-Khalil al-Hayya, and Jihad Labad, the person in charge of his office People were martyred.

According to him, the martyrs included the bodyguards of Hamas leaders and a Qatari official.

Suhail al-Hindi added in an interview with Al Jazeera that since the Israeli attack, contact has not been possible with the three bodyguards of Khalil al-Hayya.

According to reports, the meeting was chaired by Khalil al-Hayya, in which important leaders like Khalid Meshaal, Zahir Jabareen, Muhammad Darwish and Abu Marzouk participated.

The meeting, chaired by Khalil al-Hayya, was considering US President Donald Trump’s proposal for a ceasefire in Gaza.

International media also reported that the real target of the Israeli attack was Hamas leader Khalil al-Hayya and the negotiation team, but so far there has been no confirmation of any leader being martyred or injured.

PM condemns Israeli forces’ bombing in Doha


ISLAMABAD, Sep 9 (APP):Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday strongly condemned the Israeli forces' bombing in Doha, capital city of Qatar that targetted a residential area, and endangered the lives of innocent civilians. 

The prime minister wrote on his official X wall saying, “On behalf of the people and Government of Pakistan as well as on my own behalf, I strongly condemn the unlawful and heinous bombing in Doha by Israeli forces, targeting a residential area, and endangering the lives of innocent civilians.”

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his deepest sympathies and solidarity with the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Qatari Royal Family, as well as the people of Qatar ‘at this difficult time’.

“This act of aggression by Israel is totally unjustified, a brazen violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Qatar, and constitutes a most dangerous provocation that could imperil regional peace and stability. Pakistan stands firmly with the State of Qatar, as well as with the people of Palestine against Israel’s aggression,” the prime minister said.

Pakistan denounces Israeli attack on Doha, says DPM Ishaq Dar

ISLAMABAD, Sep 09 (APP):Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister (DPM/FM), Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Tuesday strongly condemned the Israeli attack on Doha, terming it a flagrant breach of international law and humanitarian principles.

In a statement issued here from the DPM’s Office, Senator Ishaq Dar said the targeting of civilians and sovereign territory was “an indefensible act of aggression.”

He stressed that such actions not only endanger innocent lives but also undermine peace and stability in the region.“Pakistan reiterates its unwavering support for the people and the State of Qatar in these grave times,” the deputy prime minister affirmed, adding that Islamabad stands in full solidarity with the Qatari leadership and its citizens.

Dar underscored that Pakistan has consistently opposed such violations and called on the international community to take urgent steps to prevent further escalation.
