Islamabad: The police in the federal capital saved the area from major destruction by taking action.
According to the police, the police recovered hand grenades, detonators and suicide vests during the operation in the Sangjani police station area of Islamabad.
During the police operation, some of the accused fled after seeing the police team.
According to the police spokesperson, the bomb disposal squad was called and the explosives were defused.
On the other hand, there was an incident of alleged firing on policemen in Shehzad Town police station area of Islamabad. The police arrested 2 accused in injured condition.
Police claimed that when three suspected motorcyclists were stopped, one of them opened fire. 2 accused were injured due to the firing of their own accomplice while the accused who opened fire escaped.
The injured accused were arrested and shifted to the hospital. The arrested accused were wanted by the police in several cases including terrorism.
