Islamabad: The SHO of a police station in Islamabad was arrested for keeping Kashmiri citizens in custody.
According to the police, the SHO of a police station in Islamabad has been arrested for keeping Kashmiri citizens named Shehbaz Sharif and Muhammad Saeed in custody.
Asim Zaidi, SHO of Sangjani police station, filed a case against him in his own police station and was arrested and locked up in the same police station. A case has been registered under Section 342 of DSP Tarnool Circle Ansar Ahmed for keeping the citizens in custody.
Accused SHO Asim Zaidi kept Kashmiri citizens Shahbaz Sharif and Muhammad Saeed in custody for 19 days without trial. Later, the arrested SHO of Sangjani police station Asim Ali Zaidi was produced before the court, where the police requested that the accused be brought to justice.
Judicial Magistrate Muhammad Azhar Nadeem accepted the request of the police and sent the accused SHO Asim Ali Zaidi to jail on judicial remand.
