The Islamabad High Court has ordered the removal of the name of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Senate Shibli Faraz from the Exit Control List (ECL).
Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri heard Shibli Faraz’s application regarding the ban on going abroad.
On this occasion, Shibli Faraz appeared in the court along with his lawyer.
The petitioner’s lawyer said that there are 4 FIRs, all of them are on bail, on which the court asked the public prosecutor what is the ground now.
The public prosecutor took the position that we will follow the order of the court, Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri remarked that the Ministry of Interior and DG Passports could not satisfy the court.
The court ordered to remove the name from ECL within a week and submit a report to the court, further ordered that DG Passport and DGFIA submit implementation report.
