Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court has issued a notice to the parties on the request to provide the details of the cases of former Speaker Asad Qaiser.
Justice Thaman Rifat Imtiaz issued a notice to other parties including the Ministry of Interior and sought their response. The next hearing of the case will be scheduled by the Registrar’s Office. Asad Qaiser’s lawyer Ayesha Khalid advocate appeared in the court.
The petitioner’s lawyer said that there is a fear of arrest in a case of which the case is not known beforehand. Requested that orders be given to provide details of cases, inquiries or investigations registered across the country. Information about the cases registered in the police, NAB and FIA should be given.
The IGs of Islamabad and four provinces along with the Ministry of Interior, Chief Commissioner, National Accountability Bureau and FIA were also made party to the petition.
The court adjourned the hearing while issuing notices to other parties including the Ministry of Interior.
