MUMBAI: Ever since the trailer of Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt’s new film ‘Jigra’ has been released, fans and critics have been comparing it to Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’, both films have different themes but are still trending on social media. The similarities between the two films are being discussed.
During a recent press meet in Delhi, Alia Bhatt opened up about these comparative assessments and also spoke about her professional relationship with husband Ranbir Kapoor.
When Alia was asked if there was any professional rivalry between her and Ranbir, Alia was quick to rule it out.
Alia said, ‘There is no competition between me and Ranbir. I am very lucky that my husband is also my best friend and an amazing actor. We talk to each other about our films and scenes. When I was confused about Jigra or Gangobai Kathiawari, I would talk to Ranbir, and that’s how he would talk to me about Animal.’
The actress said, “I know people are comparing the two films, but actually there is not much similarity. It’s not just Animal or Jigra, many movies are about doing something for a loved one. It is a separate genre, and many films have been made on the subject. Apart from that, there are no significant similarities between the two films.
Remember that ‘Jigra’ is going to release on October 11 and fans are eager to see Alia in this emotional role.
