Beirut: Iran’s ambassador Mojtaba Amani was also seriously injured in the explosions in several pagers used by Hezbollah commanders in Lebanon, while conflicting reports are also being received about the health of leader Hassan Nasrallah.
According to the World News Agency, one of the pagers used by Hezbollah was used by Iran’s ambassador to Lebanon, Mojtaba Amani, which suddenly exploded.
The ambassador’s eyes were injured when the pager exploded and he was rushed to hospital where it was confirmed that he lost one eye and injured the other.
Two bodyguards of Iranian Ambassador Mojtaba Amani were also injured in the pager blast.
Since the blasts, there have been various claims about the health of Hassan Nasrallah, the head of Hezbollah and Israel’s most wanted man.
Israeli media claimed that Hassan Nasrallah was critically injured, while foreign media also reported unconfirmed reports that he was injured.
However, a senior Hezbollah official told Arab media that Hassan Nasrallah was completely “well” and in contact with the leadership.
It should be remembered that several pagers exploded with a powerful explosion in Lebanon within an hour, in which 9 Hezbollah soldiers and a child were killed, while more than 3 thousand were injured.
More than 200 of those injured in the Pagers explosions are said to be in critical condition, most of them with injuries on the face, hands and stomach.
Hezbollah has blamed Israel’s intelligence agency Mossad for the explosions in pagers used by Hezbollah in Lebanon, but Israel has not denied or confirmed this.
