Karachi: A senior actor of Pakistani showbiz industry has said that the race for followers on Instagram has spoiled the minds of actors.
Recently Mahmood Aslam participated in a podcast where he discussed the current situation of Pakistani dramas.
Mehmood Aslam said that the trends of actors are changing due to social media, now those actors who have more followers on Instagram are given work.
The senior actor said that Instagram has spoiled the minds of our actors and I think that’s why our dramas are also sinking.
Talking about his super hit comedy drama ‘Bubble’, he said that it has been 14 years of my drama and this drama has become popular worldwide.
Mehmood Aslam said that all the actors of this drama have more Instagram followers but Ayesha Umar has the highest number of followers, that’s why Ayesha Umer now pays more attention to her Instagram than the drama.
The actor said that Ayesha Umar has her own YouTube channel, she also has her own brand of clothes and make-up, which she now pays more attention to.
He said that Ayesha Umar works according to her promise but she is not paying attention to the drama as before, in the beginning of the drama she used to come to the shooting on time but now it is not like that.
Mehmood Aslam added that now we can’t even cast another actress instead of Ayesha Umar in ‘Bulbale’ because fans want to see Ayesha in the beautiful role and it is not easy to change the role from a super hit drama.
