6 suspected militants were killed and 3 injured during a clash with security forces in the Spunum area of North Waziristan near the Pak-Afghan border.
Sources have said that around 25 militants tried to infiltrate into Spanoom area of Tehsil Mir Ali on Friday night.
The security forces tried to stop them seeing their movements, during which there was a heavy exchange of fire from both sides, as a result of which 6 militants were killed and three were injured while the rest of the militants went back to Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, the district administration of Upper South Waziristan held successful talks with the families of the children who were allegedly killed in mortar shelling in Sharkai area of Shaktoi Tehsil on Saturday.
After the incident, the family members and local Mehsud tribesmen staged a dharna after which Deputy Commissioner of South Waziristan Saleem Jan negotiated with the protestors and they ended the dharna.
