Karachi: Chief Executive TADAP Zubair Motiwala has said that the industries are closing, the government should fix the situation in Karachi.
While giving a press conference on the Chamber of Commerce and Industry elections, Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TADAP) chief executive and businessman group chairman Zubair Motiwala said that the responsibility of the current economic situation rests on the finance minister who Negotiating with MF.

If Javed Balwani is elected as the President of Karachi Chamber, he will have the support of the entire business community behind him. The government should fix the situation in Karachi. The trader leader said that we supported the traders’ strike against the trader-friendly scheme. BMG has been serving the business community for over 25 years. We have spoken to the Commerce Minister regarding the Merchant Dost Scheme and have suggested Rs 5,000 per month instead of Rs 60,000 in the Merchant Dost scheme. POS has been implemented in big shops. Now 2 categories will be made in this regard. One category is already registered while the appropriate tax will be kept for medium traders.
He said that the registered big stores will pay the tax in proportion to the fixed rate. Javed Balwani, Naseer Siraj Teli, AQ Khalil, Anjum Nisar, Mian Abrar Ahmed also addressed the press conference.
