Karachi: Industrialists have strongly criticized the hike in petrol and diesel prices and demanded that the Prime Minister withdraw the hike in petroleum products prices.
SITE Association President Ahmed Azeem Alvi has said in this regard that the hike in petroleum product prices immediately after the announcement of the Prime Minister’s five-year economic plan “Udan Pakistan” is against the Prime Minister’s economic vision, which will affect economic activities. The Prime Minister should take immediate notice and conduct an investigation against those who increased the prices.
Federal B Area Association of Trade and Industry President Sheikh Muhammad Tahseen expressed his anger over the increase in petroleum product prices and said that the government should immediately reduce the prices of petroleum products by cutting taxes, as this is especially affecting medium and small traders, who are already facing a lot of difficulties.
Former President of the Hyderabad Chamber of Small Industry, Muhammad Farooq Sheikhani, strongly condemned the unjustified increase in the prices of petroleum products, saying that this is an exploitative move that will affect businessmen and consumers alike. He demanded that the government withdraw the increase and suggested adopting a policy of providing relief to the public.
