Pakistan is hosting the region’s largest multinational air exercise Indus Shield 2024, in which 24 air forces are participating.
According to ISPR, Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir visited the operational airbase of Pakistan Air Force, Army Chief was received by Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu (Military Award).
The Army Chief arrived to inspect the ongoing Multinational Exercise “Indus Shield-2024”, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf (Military Distinction) was also present on the occasion.
Indus Shield 2024 is the largest multi-national exercise in the region, 24 air forces are participating in these exercises, the motto of the exercise is “Stronger when together”, the training is taking place with state-of-the-art facilities.
The Army Chief expressed satisfaction over the progress made in the combat preparations and upgrading programs of the Pakistan Air Force. He witnessed the exercise operations and demonstration of various advanced technologies, on which the Chief of Army Staff was briefed by the Pakistan Air Force, detailing the preparations and upgrades to meet the security challenges. .
After that, the Pakistan Air Force fighter jets also demonstrated excellent aerial performance. The Army Chief met the Air Staff and appreciated Pakistan’s determination to protect its air borders. He emphasized the importance of cooperation between the three armed forces and said it was indispensable for operational success.
The Chief of Air Staff thanked the Army Chief for his visit and reiterated his commitment to enhance cooperation between the Army and the Air Force in training and operations. He said that the ongoing exercise “Indus Shield-2024” will further strengthen the coordination between the participating nations and prepare their air and ground personnel to face the modern day combat challenges.
