A global defense investigation report has revealed details of the losses of the Indian Air Force, challenging the claims of Indian defense superiority.
British defense journal highlights alleged Indian Rafale jet losses in Pakistan-India aerial engagement
According to a report by the British defense journal Aero Magazine, four Rafale fighter jets of the Indian Air Force were destroyed during the 52-minute air clash between Pakistan and India.
The report states that the serial numbers of the destroyed Rafale jets were BS001, BS021, BS022 and BS027, however, India failed to present any authentic photos or evidence regarding these aircraft.
According to the report, Indian pilots were under severe pressure due to the multi-domain operation strategy of the Pakistani Air Force and could not respond effectively.
The investigation report further revealed that the Indian Air Force lost a total of 4 Rafale aircraft, a MiG-29, an Su-30 and a Heron drone. According to the report, on May 10, a Pakistani JF-17 Block-3 aircraft targeted and disabled the Indian S-400 defense system installed in Udhampur.

The report also stated that the Pakistani Air Force destroyed the Indian command and control system located in Barnala, while Pakistani cyber units affected a large part of India’s digital and social networks.
According to the report, this was the first time that an air force effectively used cyber and conventional military operations together.
According to the Aero Magazine, Indian Chief of Defense Staff General Anil Chauhan also admitted to the destruction of Indian aircraft in an interview. The report reminded that earlier during Operation Swift Retaliation, the Pakistani Air Force had shot down an Indian MiG-21.
