DELHI: The Indian Border Force (BSF) has arrested 4 Bangladeshi nationals, including two women, from the international border near Tripura.
According to an Indian report, the BSF has arrested 9 people from the border, out of which 4 belong to Bangladesh.
The BSF alleged in a statement that the Bangladeshi nationals were allegedly trying to enter India illegally.
The statement said that the arrested persons belong to Notan Bazar and Kharagracheri in South Tripura district of Bangladesh.
The BSF said that it had received information about attempts by 4 Bangladeshi nationals to cross the border illegally, on which a patrolling team took action.
It was further said that during the operation, two women and two men were arrested when they were crossing the international border from the Bangladesh side.
Another statement said that a BSF patrol team in another operation arrested five people, including two Bangladeshi nationals, who were illegally crossing the India-Bangladesh border.
