Raipur: A truck belonging to the commando battalion of the paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force was attacked with an improvised explosive device in an attack by Naxal insurgents in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh.
According to Indian media, the personnel killed in the blast were identified as 29-year-old Constable Shailendra and 35-year-old Vishnu, who were part of the 201st Battalion of the RSCRPF Commando Battalion for Resolute Action Cobra.
According to the Indian news agency PTI, the Naxalites targeted the truck with an improvised explosive device. The military truck was completely destroyed and caught fire. The Naxalite rebels also took away the weapons of the Indian Army.
As soon as the bomb blast on the military truck was reported, more personnel were called. A search operation was launched in the area to arrest the attackers, but no arrests have been made so far.
It should be remembered that the Naxal fighters in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh are waging an armed struggle for independence from India and instead of benefiting the capital from local resources, they demand construction and development in the same area.
