Indian actress Riddhi Dogra has made important revelations about her debut film “Abeer Gulal” with Pakistani superstar Fawad Khan.
The film marks Fawad Khan’s return to Bollywood, which is based on a romantic story with Vaani Kapoor.
In a recent interview, Riddhi said, “Before signing the film, I took legal assurance that working with a Pakistani actor is allowed in India.”
She added, “There should be no boundaries or divisions in art, but I decided within the ambit of the law.”
The shooting of the film began in London in October 2024. According to director Aarti S. Bagdi, the film is a story of healing the wounds of love and life, where both the characters discover love in their journey.
A complete ban on Pakistani artists was imposed during the Indo-Pakistan tensions in 2019, but the Bombay High Court relaxed these restrictions in 2023.
Fawad Khan’s last Bollywood project was “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil”, in which he played a leading role alongside Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai. Now fans are eagerly waiting for his new film.
