Islamabad: Pakistan has said that India is behind the attack on the Jafar Express train in the Bolan district of Balochistan.
Reacting to the Jafar Express attack in the weekly briefing, the Foreign Office spokesperson said that the attack on the Jafar Express was a plan of terrorists outside the country, urging the Afghan government to take action against those responsible and cooperate with Pakistan.
He said that Pakistan has been a victim of terrorism and has been the target of those saboteurs who are outside our borders. The terrorists also had foreign contacts in the Jafar Express train terrorism, while traces of contacts with Afghanistan were found in the traced calls during this incident.
Shafqat Ali Khan said that we have just completed the rescue operation on the Jafar Express train terrorism and we do not explain diplomatic contacts in this way on a public forum, in the past too we have been sharing full details of such incidents with Afghanistan and this is a continuous process that continues.
The spokesperson said that many of our friendly countries have condemned the Jafar Express terrorism, while we have cooperation with many of our friends on counter-terrorism. There has been no change in our policy.
Shafqat Ali Khan said that there is propaganda that Pakistan is not allowing the Torkham border to open, we want to keep the Torkham border open. Efforts were being made by Afghanistan to build a post inside the Pakistani border, we will not allow the Afghan authorities to do any construction. Our main priority on Afghanistan is the promotion of friendly and close relations.
